/signed, but you might want to give something similar to rangers and casters, like special guild skins.

nice idea, but not really worth Anet's efforts imo. They should focus on the important things such as storage!

Although not directed to all classes, it's still one of the best ideas i read over the last months. I personally would prefer to see the possibility to add caster mods to the shields than to create other items for those classes since only a shield would give that nice look of "belonging together" like a cape does ...

And yes bow rangers might not be able to use it but then again a hammer warrior will not be able to use it either ...

Most of the armor types look terrible with the capes. Not only that, a lot of us farm for a while to be able to afford 15k. So to cover up half of it really stinks! I would love an idea like this to be implimented. I think it should be for everyone though, not just people that want to carry a shield.

Banner: Great idea for staff wielders. Limited patterns can be designed by guild leader then bought by members. The inherent mods should be purchased as well.
Sash: Great idea! Can easily be made a part of the toggle options for everyone in the cape menu we already have available.
Shield: Great idea for anyone that wants one. Like the banners limited shield patterns chosen by guild leader, shields and their inherent mods bought by members.

It will not be today, but I have decided to implement in the petition some way for the casters and other classes than warrior to show how proud they are about their own guild. Different ways of wearing capes will also be the subject. Ill update the first post in the near future.

One thing I thought of was having some sort of 'Eternal skin' like shields/transparant shields so that it shows the shield has a magical property, rather than absorbing damage.

/signed to the Guild logo part. Guild colors would be satisfactory also.

I use an exalted Aegis, so hopefully it would work on greens also.

in the game DarkAgeofCamelot the emblem on the shield was sweet looking .. they should make it so you have to talk to somebody to get an emblem on your shield or cape and they should make it so any player can get a cape without being in a guild and make it so they can dye it.

Although the idea has to be worked upon for the casters, ranger, assassin and hammer warriors, it is an overall good idea and I support it

How about standard bearers. Item that costs hardly anything, available at guild halls, and is basically a very long pole with a banner bearing your guild emblem. You can equip it if you want to show off your guild, but it doesn't have any abilities, like a holiday mask it is just for show.

I say this because I don't like the idea of an item for warriors only, and I don't like the idea of a max stat shield, and max mods, available to buy at a guild. Your equipment should come from greens, chests, trading, nice mods, collectors, pickups etc. If you had these shields, everybody would be running around with the same shield just with a different skin.

Even small pacthes ( guildpachtes )that would be placed on other armor pieces, to get the uniforme feel

GUILD, FACTION, or AREA alligned items/armor (symbols for ascalon, kryta, K-City, Shing) Would be wonderful

Make special vendors in the cities for the Area/Faction representing items, then have specific quests/missions or materials (like amber/jade/obsidian/saphire/ruby) in order to create or purchase them. Have something similar to Voldo the Exotic Armorer in Factions in the areas...

Perhaps make the armor/weapons/offhands a set "look" and color just like the uniformed look of the guild capes for everyone in the guild. (I don't mean everyone wearing fullplate, but have a set armor look for warriors, rangers, assassins, ect.) Make the armor/equipment extremely demanding for materials, or faction intense (I dunno, just ideas)

Moneysinks are always a great way to get the economy moving.

I've never been a big fan of the capes. I'm like one in a million there I think though, so I just turn it off. What I would like to see though is the guild emblem on a badge attached to the armor though. yea, it's small and all, but I would prefer that to the cape.

For the shield idea.

/signed - cool idea.

and badges for other classes.

Id rather have something where you can toggle to change the design of your current shield to your guilds design. I dont like being able to purchase perfect shields for everyone, it ruins the rarity.

but it should be that once you buy one it's yours, so when you change guild you still keep the shield but it just adjusts to the guild you're in, else you'll lose a massive amount of money

@Rogier, yes that is the way it would work. The same way as you guild cape skin changes when you change guilds. Or if the Guild leader decides to change the cape, the Guild items will also change with it.

@MMSdome, but the shields and items will be high priced. Furthermore, it still wouldnt affect the rarity of gold items much, since the Guild Shields are accesible for anyone, they are not rare at all. Those people that find it a necessity to spend 100k+ in a gold shield because of the status symbol, will likely not buy a Guild Shield, because that is too common.
